Aimee Ryan is the owner of Aimee Ryan Hair and Beauty situated on Highburgh Road in the heart of the West End. “It was always a dream for me to open a salon in the West End. The West End is awash with culture, creativity and innovation and I knew that’s where I had to open my salon.”
Aimee has always wanted to be a hairdresser and has worked in the industry since the age of 14. Working as a Saturday Junior, she knew one day she wanted to have her own salon and has been working hard to achieve this goal. Aimee went from a salon employee to being self-employed to opening her own salon in January 2020. Despite the challenge of COVID-19, she says “I wouldn’t change a thing”. 
The salon has a modern, vibrant and welcoming vibe. Providing the best experience for their clients is at the heart of everything they do.
“Having worked in the West End for 15 years, I am an expert in colour and I love nothing more than helping my clients achieve their hair goals. The salon has a team of experts in Hair and Beauty and we can’t wait to get back in the salon when lockdown is over. In the salon we only use the best products in the market such as Wella and Milkshake. As someone who loves colour work I love nothing more than painting hair. I do all aspects of hairdressing for ladies and gents and love ensuring the gents of the West End leave looking sharp having had a luxury experience.”
Outside of work, under normal circumstances, Aimee loves to travel and enjoys a good city break. Although she describes herself as a “bit of a fussy eater”, Aimee enjoys trying new restaurants and her favourite place to have Sunday brunch with friends is Embargo on Byres Road, “they have the most amazing food and drinks”.
