Hello to our newest business: Toaty Wee Angel

We are excited to welcome a new business to Cresswell Lane: Toaty Wee Angel.

West End’s latest shop opened last Saturday, selling hand-painted jute bags, canvases and personalised gifts. Owner Lynne also has a studio in East Kilbride, where adults and children can come in and paint ceramics, bags and canvases. It’s popular for themed parties and is often booked by groups who want to do something fun together.

Lynne can customise the bag to match the recipient's profession, hair and eye colour.

Toaty Wee Angel focuses on retail, as Lynne’s own imaginative designs have always gone down well with customers. The new shop, located on the second floor in De Courcy’s Arcade, is filled with individually designed bags that can be custom-made. Anyone who walks in can choose the components of the design themselves and pick up a personalised bag a week later. The four different sizes mean that they can find use as gift bags, lunch boxes and shopping bags, just to mention a few.

Lynne’s been thinking of opening a shop in the area since last year, when she came through to the West End and stumbled across De Courcy’s Arcade with her daughter. She likes the buzz of the West End and the atmosphere in the arcade, so after Alison’a Vintage and Retro Attic moved to Ayr a few weeks ago, Lynne decided to take on the empty unit. With the help of her family, she’s managed to get the shop ready in very little time. Make sure to pop in and say hello the next time you're in the West End.

A gift for the Star Wars fan.
